Chili Con Queso: Recipe courtesy of: My Spice Blends | Date Added: 6 Dec 2011 Ingredients:

1 tablespoon Salted Butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
3/4 cup mild, medium or hot tomato salsa
1/4 cup Sour Cream
2 cups Sharp Cheddar, grated (about 8 ounces)
Tortilla chips
Carrot and celery sticks

Cooking Instructions:

Makes about 2 cups

1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, then add flour and stir for about 30 seconds to cook flour without browning.

2. Stir in your favorite salsa and cook while stirring, until mixture is simmering. Stir in sour cream.

3. Add shredded cheese and continue stirring just until cheese is completely melted and mixture returns to simmer.

4. Place in a decorative serving bowl and serve hot, surrounded with chips and veggies.

5. Enjoy!
