French’s Style Yellow Mustard:

As with any homemade mustard, for best results, store overnight to combine the flavors.

Prepared mustard can be kept refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.

Recipe Yield: ¼ cup | Prep Time: 30 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients

4 tablespoons ground mustard, yellow
½ teaspoon flour, used as a thickening agent
⅜ teaspoon sea salt
⅛ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon Spanish paprika, adds color as well as flavor
¼ cup water
3 tablespoons Champagne vinegar

Cooking Instructions

1.) Place all dry powered ingredients into a sauce pan and then add the water and the vinegar whisking until well incorporated.

2.) Heat over medium heat, whisk continuously until completely smooth and mixture .starts to boil.

3.) Reduce heat and simmer stirring constantly to avoid clumping, sticking and burning for about 10 minutes.

4.) Remove pan from the heat and let cool for 5 minutes, cover and let the mustard cool completely.

Store mustard in a covered container refrigerated.
